What a show we have in store for you this week. I had the absolute pleasure to sit down and chat one on one with FC Cincinnati legend, Andrew Wiedeman!
In this interview we caught up on what’s he’s doing these days now that he’s no longer playing.
What it’s been like living in Washington, D.C. and being able to see D.C. United’s revival first hand. He’s also played golf with an international soccer icon who arrived mid-summer.
We discussed the journey to Cincinnati and why he knew that after 2017 he would be done with soccer.
Andrew was the first player guest ever on the Cincinnati Soccer Talk podcast and we will always be a fan of what he does and forever grateful that he saves some time to chat with us. We’re thrilled to see him in his new role as an agent and look forward to big things for the first goalscorer in FC Cincinnati history!

On this week's show, we look back at the tremendous homestand for FC Cincinnati. We also preview a big week on the road for the Orange and Blue.

Bryan, Rob, Yosief and I discuss our Best and Worst of the week for FC Cincinnati after their 3-0 win over the Charleston Battery.
Fatai Alashe made his first start for FC Cincinnati on Saturday. He didn’t look like a new guy out there, after watching the tape, he appeared to fit right in with this squad.
Fanendo Adi nearly opened his scoring account for FCC, what did you make of his performance against the Charleston Battery?
The homestand was what you would call a successful one for FC Cincinnati. Any chance you can earn 16 out of 18 points is pretty darn good.
Rob attended training on Monday and saw Evan Newton, Danni Konig, and Dekel Keinan all training. He also had a chance to follow up with Fanendo Adi after his comments last week regarding the Nippert Stadium turf.
With a midweek game, we decided to add a little March 2 Matchday pizazz to the show. We welcomed Taylor Denman from the Gwinnett Daily Post to look ahead to FC Cincinnati’s match with Atlanta United 2. Will the Orange and Blue face off against former goalkeeper Mitch Hildebrandt? We’ll see!
Our thoughts and prayers are with Rob Peirce and his family as they go through this tough time. Rob’s grandmother passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 96.
If the season were to end today, FC Cincinnati would have the home-field advantage throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs and they would host New York Red Bulls II.
What can’t this guy do? The man can paint, now apparently he can make amazing replica USL stadiums in the sand. Look at this replica of Nippert Stadium that Tom Grabo made! Oh yeah, get signed up for FootGolf this weekend too while you’re at it!
