Just a few hours after we published last week’s podcast episode, FC Cincinnati had a press conference announcing roster moves for the upcoming 2018 season. There were a lot of names we expected to not be back next season. There were some surprises though. We discuss that and more on this week’s podcast! Get downloading!

FC Cincinnati announced roster moves for next season. They announced a core group of players who have either signed or been extended to next season. They also listed off a bunch of names that will not be returning in 2018. Read about all of these changes here: Cincinnatisoccertalk.com/2017/10/25/fc-cincinnati-turns-the-page-to-2018
We spent a good portion of the show discussing what this team is missing and what kind of players need to be brought in for 2018.
The guys wrapped the show this week talking a little USL Playoffs. We all agreed that we definitely don’t want that team down south to win this weekend and advance to the USL Finals.

In episode 2 of the CST EPL Roundtable BradWeigel is joined by Kevin Jackson (LFC Cincinnati), Andrew Jono (Man U), and Clay Benjamin (Cincy Blues). They recap the first 9 matches of the EPL season and the first half of UEFA Champions League group play. We also discuss our "who's hot" and "who's not" teams and who we think will finish up top after 38 matches.
Unfortunately, FC Cincinnati’s 2017 postseason ended as quickly as it began. Another one and done for the Orange and Blue. On this week’s episode, we look back at the match from Saturday night and look ahead to a quick turnaround for FCC. Get downloading folks!!<--more-->

FC Cincinnati fell 3-0 to the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the first round of the USL Playoffs. For whatever reason, this 2017 FC Cincinnati squad just could not muster up any away form this year. If you don’t think a new stadium is necessary, think again. They can’t afford to go on the road for 6 of the last 8 weeks of the season like they did this year. What were your thoughts on the 4-4-2 from Saturday? Surprised? How about the substitutions? Did you make anything of the performance Saturday? Hard to watch that’s for sure.
There was some breaking news late in the day on Tuesday that FC Cincinnati will be hosting a 10 a.m. Press Conference on Wednesday regarding roster changes. Based on the timing of this press conference so soon as the season and while the USL and MLS playoffs are underway, this presser likely means we’re saying goodbye to some of our favorite Orange and Blue Soccer Ball Kicking Good Guys. Which player departure would you be unhappy about the most?

Hey! What do you know! FC Cincinnati gets a win on the road which means they avoid Louisville in the 1st round of the USL Playoffs. But, Tampa Bay is certainly no slouch. We’re joined by Harrison Delbridge this week on the podcast and we also discuss the relocation plans for Columbus Crew SC.

Well, they’re in! FC Cincinnati made the postseason, but we knew this on Thursday evening after Tampa Bay beat Orlando City B. FC Cincinnati’s final regular season road game was an interesting affair, to say the least. They somehow managed to concede 3 goals to one of the worst teams in USL but fortunately, FC Cincinnati was able to put 4 in the back of Toronto’s net. We recap the match and our thoughts moving forward into the postseason.
The last time we had Harrison Delbridge on the show was last year after he was voted the 2016 Player of the Year at Cincinnati Soccer Talk. Harry took home the award AGAIN in 2017 narrowly edging out teammate Mitch Hildebrandt. Delbridge joined the podcast to discuss the 2017 seaso and his excitement for the upcoming playoffs. He also fills us in on where you can find Jimmy McLaughlin if he ever goes missing in Cincy.
If you haven’t heard already, Grant Wahl from Sports Illustrated broke this story late on Monday evening. Yes, you’re reading it correctly. The owner of the Columbus Crew has a plan seemingly in place to go ahead and move the team to Austin. Joining us on the show this week is Patrick Murphy from MassiveReport.com to talk about the implications, what it means for Columbus soccer fans as well as what it means for FC Cincinnati’s expansion application.

FC Cincinnati struggles on the road yet again. The United States can’t win on the road in a match that guarantees them qualification into the World Cup. The parallels between these two teams are strikingly similar. We discuss on this week’s podcast. Get downloading!

Boston, Yosief and I talk about the embarrassing loss over the weekend to the Ottawa Fury, a team that had NOTHING to play for other than play spoiler to FC Cincinnati’s postseason hopes. With the loss, FC Cincinnati may have to win this weekend in order to clinch a playoff spot. They’ll need some help on Thursday night by the Tampa Bay Rowdies when they hit the road against Orlando who is also fighting for a spot.
In our second segment, we talk about the confidence we have in this team to get a result on the road in Toronto this weekend. It could potentially be a must-win game for FC Cincinnati. It’s entirely possible that we’ll know FC Cincinnati’s playoff chances after Thursday night.
Lastly, we discuss how the USMNT missing the 2018 World Cup will affect soccer in the Tri-State. It’s crazy how similar FC Cincinnati and the US have fared this year. Both teams can’t win on the road in games that matter.
Plus we ended the show with our final Growler Cup predictions of the year!

FC Cincinnati is hanging on for dear life for a playoff spot in the USL Eastern Conference. Those 3 points picked up in Charlotte were HUGE. But is this team playing well right now? How are you feeling heading into the postseason? Get downloading folks!

That wasn’t the prettiest of soccer ever BUT it got the job done on Friday night as FC Cincinnati squeaked out a 1-0 win over 3rd place Charlotte. Kenney Walker was sent off due to receiving two yellow cards and GK Mitch Hildebrandt made a 2 point saving save late on a Charlotte penalty kick. Would you believe that this team is currently on a 6-match unbeaten run? Could have fooled us. Are you concerned with the teams form? Or is it more like get 3 points any way you can now at this point. Let us know!
