Saturday night kicked off what could be called a four day holiday weekend for Cincinnatians. Unfortunately, the Orange and Blue fell to their rival. However, there is big news on the horizon. We discuss this week on the podcast.

This week’s episode captain is Angela Cardwell. Angela, thank you so much for your support of Cincinnati Soccer Talk. If you’d like to wear the armband for an episode of Cincinnati Soccer Talk log onto CincinnatiSoccerTalk.com/support.

Highlights from this week’s show.

Bryan, Yosief, Bill, Brad and I record the podcast for the first time together in the same room. It only took us 118 episodes of the podcast to make this happen.

We started off the show by recapping the 2-0 loss to Louisville. Unfortunately for FC Cincinnati fans, the majority of excitement came from the Rally Squirrel. But hey, 26,000 people showed up for the game so let’s celebrate that.

FC Cincinnati played well mid-week in the Open Cup vs Pittsburgh. It was the first time in club history that the Orange and Blue were victorious over a Bob Lilley coached squad.

Tuesday is going to be a big party as it appears that FC Cincinnati will be announced as the 26th team to join Major League Soccer.
